Bolzero Washer is not simply a product designed to prevent “co-rotation” when tightening bolts. It also enhances the anti-loosening performance of other products by more than 12 times, making it resistant to vibration!
When introducing anti-loosening nuts and anti-loosening washers from other manufacturers, vibration tests are always executed. However, these tests are done on the condition of firmly fixing the bolt head in place and only vibrating the nut. Since nuts are always used in combination with bolts, it is meaningless to execute tests, neglecting the possibility of the bolt’s-moving. In our tests, we have found that even if the nuts themselves did not loosen, there were cases where the bolt head rotated, leading to loosening.
A trouble by Double-Wedge Washer
Double-Wedge Washers provide excellent anti-loosening performance when used on the nut side. However, when Double-Wedge Washers are used on both the nut side and the bolt head side simultaneously, the bolt tends to co-rotate, creating a gap between the two washers, which can lead to loosening.
If you try to eliminate this gap by retightening the bolt head, the gap is transferred onto the nut side. Conversely, if you retighten the nut side to remove its gap, the gap will come back to the bolt head side like doing a catch-ball game. In order to prevent such the inconvenience, you must turn the nut & the bolt mutually reverse at the same time, which is extremely DIFICULT.
Our Solution:
As demonstrated in our tests, using Bolzero Washer on the bolt head side solves the above problem while increasing the anti-loosening performance by more than 12 times. While Bolzero Washer itself does not have anti-loosening functionality, it firmly secures the bolt head to the surface, allowing the Double-Wedge Washer to perform its intended function effectively.
A trouble by Double-lock Nut
Double-lock Nuts offer good anti-loosening performance. However, if you don’t have countermeasures applied to the bolt head, co- rotation occurs vibration.
Our Solution:
As shown in our tests, using Bolzero Washer on the bolt head side solves the above trouble and increases the anti-loosening performance by more than 16 times. While Bolzero Washer itself does not have anti-loosening functionality, it firmly fixes the bolt head to the surface, enabling the Double Lock Nut to achieve its full potential.
